Finding Your Voice

by Kelly on December 23, 2009

Have you been wanting to do something of your own on the internet?  Maybe start a blog, create a product, or post some videos to YouTube?  If so, what’s stopping you?

I know for me it was fear.  You know… the usual.  “What if people don’t like me?”  “What if the stuff I think is important isn’t important to anyone else?”  “Who would read my stuff anyway?”  Yet I still had that nagging urge that I had something to say.

And then I met a group of people who also had something to say.  Better yet, they are making a buck or two doing it!  Although they are from all different walks of life, each one of their messages is just as powerful.  These are the type of people who don’t believe in competition – only collaboration.  I am proud and honored to call these people my friends.  You can check out their valuable yet inexpensive internet products at http://portableempirecoaching.com/products.html.

(In case you were wondering,  I plan to be on that page too once my video camera and I learn to play well together!)  ;)

My point is this:  If you have the inner nudge to put yourself out there on the internet, that nudge is there for a reason.  Find some supportive friends, find your voice, and share it with the world!

A woman I look up to once told me, You are doing the world a disservice by not putting yourself out there.  Someone out there NEEDS to hear what you have to say.”

Please don’t rob the world of You.  If you have that inner nudge, take a chance and find your voice!  Just imagine what a beautiful world it would be if we all shared our individual thoughts and talents…

Sharing your thoughts is always welcome here.  I love to hear your “voice” in the comments section!

P.S.

My friends and I decided to all write a post today that included the inexpensive internet products link.  The people listed below are participating, so please click on them to see the unique way that they worked it into their own blog posts.  It’s amazing how many different takes you can have on the same general subject.  I can’t wait to read them myself!

Thanks for doing this with us Kelly. I am really excited about how much you are really growing with us. One of the best things about being an “Un” is seeing our fellow “Uns” grow in success. Yay you!

Hey Kelly, glad to see that hanging out in an airport with me didn’t kill your drive or imagination ;>) Glad to see that you are making progress toward your dream. Pat’s folks are a great bunch to be working with and learning from.

Merry Christmas.

Great article Kelly! I liked it when you said that it’s a disservice not to put yourself out there – other people can learn from each other. Yes, we are all supportive of one another in this program – and that is what is so great about it! Thanks!
